Amanda and Shannon became friends because of their shared love of General Hospital.  For years they've wondered how many other fans had conversations and swapped text messages just like they do.

The idea for the podcast occurred, but for over 2 years, they struggled to find a name. Then one day it hit: Pier 54.  The Pier is where all the hidden conversations take place and secrets are revealed. What better name for a podcast dedicated to just that cause! 

Each week they release 2 new episodes: 

• Monday is a recap of the previous weeks episodes of GH.  The reason they chose Monday is as busy moms themselves, they know how important it is to be able to catch up on the weekends.
  
• Thursday is the Port Charles 411.  Each week they deep dive into a variety of subjects from character backgrounds, various storylines, interviews with fans and interviews with cast members!
